True Story: Tales from Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers is available now!
Holy smokes, it's September already. I'll be honest, I'm a summer person. Even though I write about vampires, I love the sun and the heat and the long days. Once September rolls around and everyone starts posting about pumpkin spice, I get a bit melancholy, because I know that winter is right around the corner. Enjoy your lattes and cozy sweaters, y'all, but I'll be over here with my dog, soaking up all the sunshine I can get. If you would like to subscribe to these updates, click here. |

Travel: always a whirlwind, sometimes a reflecting poolMatt and I just returned from a whirlwind trip to Germany and Italy. As we usually do, we packed the trip with food, museums, walking, historic sites, more food, and (almost) every form of transport known to man. I return from every one of our vacations exhausted and amazed at all we saw and did. This trip also provided a chance to reflect on the next book in my series, the Technically Dead Detective Mysteries. I've known for a while that I wanted my characters to travel to Europe, and this was my chance to do some research, take some notes, and generally ponder what might come next for my vampire detective and his assortment of sidekicks. I've just barely recovered, but hope to sit down and gather my notes soon, so I can hammer out an outline for book three. Stay tuned! |
